leopard. so hot right now. leopard.

sometimes i moonlight as a fashion blogger.
but only when tempted by free leopard print pumps.
or wine.
this was a case of the former.

$40 loafers? well shucks, i'll take three.

considering how much use i got out of my leopard print loafers, i will likely be investing in a pair (or three) of these by gap. which is your favorite?

oh, the places you'll go.

last summer i started doing this silly thing so many of us ladies do. photographing my shoes. well, it wasn't always for the shoes. sometimes it was the toenail color, or the outfit, or the location/moment in time that i wanted to capture. whatever the reason, i've developed quite the collection of feet photos. it's kind of cool though to look back and reminisce all the places my feet took me this past year. care to see? what's extra cool is that for all of these snapshots, i was able to find when i blogged about something similar, if not the exact moment captured. blogs = life diary. pretty cool.

Dear Shoes, I love you.

How perfect that these two images popped up on my Pinterest this morning when I spent a good amount of time yesterday perusing and pinning shoes to my wishlist?

It's true. I do love shoes. Remember my dressing room? Oh, the good ole' days.

Zara has some darling nude and blush pink options. And that neon stiletto? Too good to be true. Best part is they're all under $90. Yippeeeee!

For the Love of Leopard Loafers

I know I'm not the first blogger to write about the ever-growing trend of leopard-print loafers, but I'm completely smitten with this new take on a classic style. Both loafers and leopard flats have been staples in the wardrobes of stylish ladies for years, so to see the two looks combined is completely brilliant. Slightly more sophisticated than a ballet flat, these comfortable low-riders can be appropriately warn at any time of day to almost any occasion, fancying up even the most simple ensemble of jeans and a tee. They also work for women of any age; I can see older women rocking these just as fabulously as trendy teens. Definitely adding these to the Christmas wish list!

Oh my god, shoes.

Whenever Glitter Guide features a Glitter Girl or a Style at Home feature, my eyes are immediately drawn to the requisite shoe shot. I love seeing what kind of styles, brands, and colors people have in their collection. All heels? Mostly flats? Sandals? Pumps? A lot of colors and texture or are there more traditional styles? I know my personal collection is pretty much all over the board, but I generally purchase shoes that really pack a punch, whether they're covered in sparkles or cheetah print or bright colors. I avoid sky-high heels (can't walk in them) and I've never purchased any kind of wedge (simply don't like the look), but other than that, I say the funkier the better.

How about you? If you lined your collection up, would any time of pattern appear? Do you keep more traditional styles or do you get adventurous when it comes to dressing up your feet?

LCY SHOPS: Singing in the Rain

Very apropos for today's apocalyptic weather in the Chicagoland area. It's never good waking up to "severe rain, tornado warnings, and the strongest wind gusts we've had in 70 years." So glad I had my yellow wellies to take the dogs out in this morning. The dogs weren't as content, however.

Hold the White Satin

My favorite photos in any wedding album are always the shots of the bride's shoes. I love the artistic angles photographers utilize to capture what is usually one of the most beautiful pieces of the wedding day. And I love that I am seeing less of the infamous white satin, pointed toe heel in favor of more jazzed up, bedazzled stilettos, pumps, and even flats. These are some of my favorite shots (and shoes!).

I think I'd go for something shiny and yellow...

or uber girly...

...but let's face it. If that day ever comes, I'll probably be in flip flops. Really cute flip flops.

How about you? What color shoes did or would you wear on your big day? And do you have a picture of 'em?
