and for two and a half years, this is where she worked. created. wrote. laughed. cried. fought. felt weak. felt strong. gave up. persevered.
she'd work long hours, often late into the night. listening to damien rice and mumford and sons. sipping diet coke or wine. and dreaming up the next best thing.
first there was this blog.
then there was the magazine.
then came the freelance gigs, the trips, the networking. all building to something more she couldn't have imagined...
then, at least for her, the next best thing really did happened. and is still happening.
you could say this is where she made all her dreams come true.
but now the time has come for her to move on. to the next step: a new home, with a new love, and a new office from which to dream.
so today she writes to you from this room.
same desk, same chair, same imac. same motto "live what you love" in sight.
she sincerely hopes you'll continue on with her in her journey, even if the posts are fewer and farther in between. she promises it will be fun.
happy weekend.

I love this post. You made so many amazing memories in your last place and will make many many new and wonderful memories in your new home.
ReplyDeleteI just keep going back to the night we launched TEG. Sitting on your couch sipping wine (drinking 2 big glasses in 10-15 min is sipping – right?) and then the moment the site went live.
And the shoot for Glitter Guide. And the night we talked about our hopes and dreams with Jess... who knew this is where we'd be a year and a half later.
And the pic of you spitting out champagne. I have a copy if you need it.
And the claw.
Love you. Love TEG. Love your new home.
See you soon! And talk to you every day forever and ever.
xo
