I tried on Kate Spade's Essentials Ela Coat on Sunday night, and I was absolutely smitten.
The seductive yet happy shade of red. The black and white polka-dot lining (it's there - trust me). The ultra-feminine silhouette cinched at the waist by the bow detailing. The oversized buttons! Oh - the buttons!
And then I saw it. The looming $700 price tag glaring me in the face.
Le sigh.
hahaha before reading the whole I clicked to check it out, pretty! but do you know what I saw first? the price! funny!
ReplyDeleteOh man, that's a tragedy. I would give anything for black and white polka dot lining! Well, not everything. Not $700.
ReplyDeleteOh how I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE everything that evil genuis Kate Spade creates! I am so sad that we missed your party at her store. I really hope we can connect someday!
ReplyDeleteYou looked FAB in the coat on Sunday! I say save your pennies and invest in it. I thought it was hilarious that Eric was asking you questions about "could you wear it in the winter when it's negative 10 out?" or "would you wear it a lot?" - oh men! Got to love my husband though :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful coat! Wait a little and it will probably soon go on sale!
ReplyDeleteyou have a lovely blog! so glad I stopped by!
me again! I saw it yesterday at the pop up store in London and thought of you, i even took a pic :)
ReplyDeleteYowzers! 700 is redic for a coat. So depressing. I did however take advantage of the 20% off sale they recently had and bought a leopard cosmetic bag. I actually hugged it when I took it out of the box. It is beautiful.
