Kai is home.
Thank you to everyone for your support and help. Just a few hours after I arrived home to Chicago this morning, Andrea called with the good news that Kai had been found, thanks to a post on CraigsList and an animal-loving neighbor. Poor guy was lost in their neighborhood, but he made it through a tough Michigan snow storm. His paws are in bad shape, and he's a bit skittish and exhausted, but he's home.
Happy, happy ending. Now everyone go hug their pet. And if you don't have a pet, do yourself a favor and get one. They're the best.
oh thank HEAVEN! I read your first post and frankly tried to forget about it, since I am nowhere nearby and couldn't really help. But I'll pat myself on the back for thinking safe, warm thoughts. :)
ReplyDeletePets are so wonderful. And stylish!
Awe so happy that he is ok and safe! My heart dropped to my stomach when I saw your first post as this is always a fear for my guy. This is a great reminder to us all to always keep tags with contact info and to get your pet micro-chipped.
ReplyDeleteSo great to hear! He is a cutie and I'm sure is thrilled to be back with his family.
ReplyDeleteThis warms my heart! I am so glad the pup is safe and sound... I'm in Alabama, but when I saw your post the other day I wanted to make the trip up north to help search! It's so horrible to have a lost pet, so happy he's okay!

Glad he's back with his mommy and daddy! My fiance and I had our cat run away a few years ago and she never came back. It was a heart wrenching experience. So I'm always happy to hear when pets are found safe and sound.

ReplyDeleteYAY! I am so so happy to hear that.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear a happy ending. We had something similar happen last year. I found out that dogs cannot find their way home with snow on the ground! Ours was gone 5 days and it is so heartwrenching. We are glad to have ours back.
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful news! Such a happy ending :)
ReplyDeleteThat is AMAZING news!!! I am so happy that he is ok! I'm off to hug the pup.
ReplyDeleteAwww... a good news "paw" story is always very heart warming.
ReplyDeleteHearing this news just made my day!!! Kai definitely has a guardian angel!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing news!! I've had the same thing happen to me and it is the most horrifying experience in the world! So glad a sweet neighbor was able to get him back home :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a relief! I am so, so happy to hear that!
ReplyDeleteWe are so glad that Kai is home! There is nothing worse than that feeling of a pet lost...but now he's safe and sound.
