To Thailand I Go!

You are reading correct, readers! The trip is booked. Come May 2010, I am packing my bags, grabbing my best gal pal, and heading to Thailand. So excited! Look at all that awaits...

Fingers crossed I don't end up like Bridget in the second Bridget Jones' Diary...

The next Kindred Spirits survey will post at noon today.

  3. Ah Thailand, you're going to have an amazing time and lots of fun fun fun!

Definitely do the day trips out of BKK it's worth the experience of floating along the river and picking up fresh coconut juice along the way...
The Koh San rd is simply mental, lots to see and buy for sure, including a diploma if you want one! You can get tasty street food like Pad Thai for 20 cents although i'm sure it's a lot more nowadays. There's the weekend market which is amazing for shopping too.

If you're heading out to the islands enjoy diving on Koh Toa, Koh Phan Ngan is gorgeous as is Koh Phi Phi on the other side of Thailand. Have fun if you're going to a full moon party - it really is a totally wild experience.

My only tip is to have lots of mossie repellent - the little buggers. Oh and if you're going to a Wat (temple) you'll need your shoulders covered and possibly wear trousers or something covering your knees.

    Lucky thing!

  4. Paradise Kitchen: I just e-mailed your comment to my friend with whom I'm traveling, and I printed it out for myself to reference. Thank you, thank you! Such great advice. You can read all the books in the world, but it's never as helpful as hearing it from someone who's experienced the place.

And thank you, everyone else! There are really no words for how excited I am!

    Cheers,
    Alaina
